In love with this old photo that I discovered in Peter’s slide archives. I still remember that cool, April day on the top of the Arc de Triomphe when he took it. We were just kids. Backpacks. Eurorail passes. No cell phones. No email. Nobody knew where we were. There was no way for anybody to reach us. We just disappeared into Europe. It seems inconceivable that my parents allowed me to do that at 19. The world is so different today. Or is it? I guess kids can still disappear if they want to… but not really.
