the art of nesting

Bird’s nests always give me a thrill. I can’t help but marvel at how birds possess such innate architectural skill; their fragile nest creations are so measured and precise. The little flying nomads know just what they need, where to find it and and how to make it work. Native Kee found this fantastic series of photographs featuring nests and eggs of different bird species. I really like how the plain black background highlights the unique style and materials of each nest beautifully. See here for more lovely nests and info about the photographer, Sharon Beals.
