dali’s wonderland

Who knew (though it makes sense) that Dali illustrated a version of Alice in Wonderland? I don’t love it, but it’s worth a look see.

Definitely worth a look. (I don’t love it either.) I used to be a great fan of Dali’s when I was younger. Now, not so much.
I saw Ralph Steadman’s take on Alice in Wonderland at last weekend’s Boston Antiquarian Book Fair. It was OK. Too chaotic for my taste. Give me Sir John Tenniel or Arthur Rackham any day.
Agreed.
There’s also Anne Bachelier’s Alice, which I like:

Never heard of Ralph Steadman. Have to go Google him…
Definitely worth a look.
Certainly not me, though I am very excited to find out. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t like Dali’s work, but this is really in Carroll’s spririt, isn’t it?
By the way, happy new year!
but… I love Ralph Steadman’s drawings for Alice!
Hey, thanks for the Steadman tip, Marraine :)
